In Central Florida, there are four types of venomous snakes – the Eastern Coral Snake, the Florida Cottonmouth (also known as the Water Moccasin), the Dusky Pygmy Rattlesnake and the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. Eastern diamonback rattlesnake. the Eastern diamondback is the largest venomous snake in north america. these critters tend to grow to be 4 to 5 feet long, however some have been known to reach 8 feet in length. heres a nightmare for ya, rattlesnakes do not lay eggs. they actually have live births! hate to be that obgyn. rattlesnakes can be dangerous and even scary, but most are afraid of people, and only attack when threatened. they are natural exterminators who feed on pests, like mice and rats, as well as other small mammals and birds.
