When You Come to Florida You Just Gotta See a Gator!

Gatorland is a 110-acre theme park combining Old Florida charm with exciting experiences, exhibits, and entertainment. The park originally opened as a roadside attraction in 1949. Over its 74-year history, Gatorland has continued to grow and today provides affordably-priced family fun featuring thousands of alligators and crocodiles, multiple shows, and the opportunity to experience a unique, “Real Florida” adventure.

Once you pass by the huge iconic alligator jaw at Gatorland’s admissions entrance, there is fun for the whole family! Visit attractions like the amazing alligator breeding marsh with observation tower – a wild bird nesting area. Each year in springtime birding enthusiasts and photographers from all over gather together in the early morning hours to marvel at nature in action.  More than 20 different species of birds nest, forage and roost under the watchful eye of hundreds of alligators in the Gatorland Bird Rookery which was created in 1991.

Young children love the petting zoo, and the free flight aviary brings out the kid in all of us! The Gatorland Express train ride takes kids of all ages on a trip around the park, and the Gator Gully Splash Park with sprinklers and water features for those hot Florida days. Another area to cool off from the heat is the swamp walk, an all-natural area where, if you’re lucky, you may just spy an otter or other Florida wildlife crossing the boardwalk.

At the White Gator Swamp, you can see the world’s largest collection of extremely rare white “leucistic” alligators and albino alligators. Nearby catch one of the three educational and fun signature shows such as Alligators: Legends of the Swamp, Gator Jumparoo, and Up-close Encounters.

Adventure seekers will enjoy the Screamin’ Gator Zip line with over 1,200 feet of high-flying thrills, five intense zip lines, and a massive 150-foot suspension bridge. At heights up to 56 feet, guests will fly at speeds near 30 miles per hour.

The Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure takes guests on a wild off-road adventure alongside the swamps that feed the headwaters of the Everglades. Each of Gatorland’s three monster-style, off-road vehicles seats 12 riders, plus the driver, and is decorated to represent iconic alligators and crocodiles in Gatorland’s rich history.

And NEW for 2023, don’t miss the CROC ROCK – A Three-In-One Adventure that takes fun to new heights as participants climb, cross a bridge, and zipline in succession!

Gatorland also offers an array of customized a la carte experiences to choose from, including the After Hours Gator Night Shine taking guests through the sights and sounds of the alligator breeding marsh at night. The exclusive Trainer For A Day Experience gives participants a glimpse of what it takes to be able to work with a Gatorland trainer caring for alligators and reptiles backstage, and for the grand finale a unique opportunity to feed huge alligators up close, this is one experience you won’t want to miss.

Don’t miss a visit to “Orlando’s Best Half Day Attraction”® – Gatorland, the “Alligator Capital of the World”®.
