Job Title: Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Department: Food and Beverage
Reporting To: Director of Operations and Food & Beverage Manager
Work Schedule: Minimum 40-Hour Week
Status: Full Time/Exempt/Salary
Summary of Duties:Responsible for making out the weekly schedule and all of the ordering, monitoring time cards, attending all food shows and passing food managers test. Review procedures and make suggestions for improvement of our menu. Motivate sales staff with add-on sales techniques and commission goals. Adhere to all Food and Health Standards set forth by Hotels and Restaurants. Ensure excellent food quality and taste for every one of our guests.
Primary Duties:• Watch cost of goods
• Make sure all areas are stocked and staffed
• Put daily sales in computer
• Interview new employees
• Make sure supervisors are doing their job
• Help all areas when we are short handed
• Do reviews for supervisors and employees
• Performs other duties as requested
Education, experience and specialized skills and knowledge requirements:
Minimum High School graduate. Prefer 4-5 years experience in management and 3-4 years in Food Service. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, and be able to communicate well with others. Must have problem solving skills and working knowledge of computers. EOE

Department: Zip Line
Reporting To: Zip Line Supervisor and Lead Guides
Status: Seasonal/Non-Exempt/Hourly (2 full time positions available and two seasonal available, seasonal is from April 1, 2013 until August 18, 2013)
Starting Wage: 10.00 p.h.
Summary of Duties:Zip Line Guides are responsible for traveling with and guiding the clients while they are on their journey with us. Must be proficient in and be able to safely teach guests to get in and out of zip line gear and guide them on the lines. Provide a safe, exciting, and educational experience for our guests while exploring Gatorland's natural habitats.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to::• Provide sequential, progressive, and effective skills instruction to guests as outlined by the Guide Supervisor or Lead Guide
• Before usage, check zip line equipment, cables, anchors, ropes, etc. and report all repairs or issues to Guide Supervisor or Lead Guide
• Perform any pre or post-trip task assigned by the Lead Guide including clean-up, inspection and maintenance of equipment used on a trip
• Actively interpret the environment with your group
• Daily check-in and coordination with Guide Supervisor or Lead Guide
• Be accountable for all equipment assigned to you and the participants and to see that each participant is adequately outfitted
• Attend company trainings and debriefings
• Complete or oversee all necessary paperwork for completion of daily operations
Job Requirements:
• Ensure the safety and welfare of the staff and participants on all trips
• Adhere to Gatorland corporate and departmental employment and safety procedures
• Must provide excellent customer service
• Enjoy working in an outdoor environment and embrace all of nature's elements
• Ability to work independently and maintain a positive work ethic

• Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain a clean and organized work and living space as well as personal appearance
• Adhere to trip safety and operational rules/guidelines
Zip Line/Rope Skills:
• Personal climbing experience & skills
• Ability to belay and rappel without guidance
• Ability to assess and appropriately manage hazards at site
• Ability to manage ropes and hardware used in technical, commercial work situations
• Zip Line experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic knots
Certifications:
• Valid driver's license required with no history of major violations
• Must have a minimum of Basic CPR and First Aid
General Outdoor Skills Needed:
• Knowledge of Gatorland animals and history
• Familiarity of Florida weather patterns and ability to observe changing conditions
• Experience teaching and managing guests in an outdoor setting
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. singly and 50-100 lbs. with a team
• Work in an outdoor rugged environment
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, you will get wet and dirty
• Must be able to keep composure and remain mentally focused after long hours of work
Work Environment:
• Work in a stunningly beautiful outdoor environment, with nature and wildlife in your office
• Exposed to any number of elements that exist in an outdoor environment
• Work in tight quarters with a small team, continuously
Experience Required:
• 1-3 years of outdoor guiding experience required
• Zip line or Tyroleans experience preferred
